Service Description

If you know anything about me, I am afraid of the white space (thus the name of this class), and I love large-scale pieces. This 10" round expression speaks to the black and white I love so much. The balance of that dark, velvety, dramatic black space, dancing with the white of the open tangles that surround it, along with that midtone deep shading, as our pen fills to the edge of the page, makes this piece sing. This was inspired by exploring one single tangle that took off and continued to grow upon itself. Come explore with me as we create this beautiful expression one stroke at a time, while we play with values, spacing, looping and allowing each valley to lead us to a new place. Watching this masterpiece unfold will provide those ooooh, ahhhh moments with each element as it fills the space. This is a four hour class, but the outcome will be so worth the time and creativity you give it. We will take a pause for a 15-30 minute break to stretch and grab a snack. Of course, the class will be recorded and will be available indefinitely. Feel free to join us for the whole time, as long as you are able and complete it as your creative schedule allows, or wait for the recording to arrive in your inbox within 24 hours after the completion of class.
